Fist or anaconda -you chose

I read more then my far share of demonic love stories, but this one......... This one I don't know what to think. I bought the box set and although I'm not disappointed all I can think about now is some chick's vag being stretched wide open by a fist that goes up past her cervix!!! I can't even unread that!

A Dark and Captivating Paranormal Romance

Caution: this book contains sensitive subject matter that might be offensive/objectionable to some readers: "fisting," forced sex, female sex slavery, breeding and rape.

In Captured the writing was somewhat odd/stilted and the character development was a bit lacking. Fortunately, however, this was one of those Series that got progressively better and better and by the 6th installment I didn't want it to end. It was definitely a very "Dark" paranormal romance but I enjoyed it tremendously. Selma was a completely likable character who overcame literally nightmarish circumstances and development into a stronger and more confident woman as the story developed. Kian was an ideal hero, i.e. a likable alpha male who is sensitive, loyal, with a touch of vulnerability. The supporting characters were rather diverse and interesting but a little one dimensional as were the villains. The Series plot was original and creative. There was action, suspense, drama, a bit of humor, and romance. There was some explicit sexual content but it (for the most part) enhanced the storyline rather than overwhelmed it. However, I do think that the Series may have been better served if the "fisting" of a vagina and the use of a bed post as a dildo had been omitted. The scenes involving the latter made my nether region literally cringe. Otherwise, some of the sex scenes were quite provocative. Moreover, a majority of the lower ratings complain about the fisting. Hunted, Claimed and Cherished were my favorites. The storyline became really intense and thrilling in these three. Dark paranormal romance is one of my favorite sub-genre anyway so for me, overall, this was a compelling and captivating Series. I would love to read more specifics about the coupe and Salma and Kian's life together. Maybe Kian's brother could find a mate. I will definitely check out other books by this author esp. those in this sub-genre.

Mixed feeling

Purchased on a whim I started reading this and instantly cringed with the brutality of the female leads experiences. Overhead other Demon books and I've never felt the cringe worthy distaste from reading those as I had with this. If you look back and see the blooming love story it's great. Decent characters and plot line, well developed storyline and timeline. But now finished I dont reccomend reading this. It was an overall turn off.
